What You Didn’t Know About Bentley
The Winged B and Logo Wings are Asymmetrical – In an effort to foil forgers, there are differing numbers of feathers on each side of both the wings that flow from the B on a Bentley hood ornament, and on the Bentley logo, both as it appears on badges affixed to the car and in print.
James Bond Drove … Bentleys – Not Aston Martins. In the books written by Sir Ian Fleming, Bond’s “official” ride of choice was a grey 1933 4.5 Litre convertible.
Bonus “Bet You Didn’t Know”: If you were aware of JB’s affection for Bentleys, did you know that there is no record of Bentley Motors ever building a “Mark VI”, which is what Bond drives in the Moonraker novel (a 1953 model).
